I agree with your satements made about ivy league schools. Now days, you must have a college education to truly make it into the real world and recieve aa well paying job. However there are always exceptions to this. Yes it is extremely impressive to be able to say that you graduated from an ivy league college, but either way you are recieveing a college education and therefore still have more of an edge over others who did not even attened college.

I would have to agree with your definition or thoughts on good writing. I felt that each point you made was valid and I had made many of the same as well. Also, i always feel pressed for time but i feel that i write better when i sit for long periods of time and just let everything out on paper. It would probably be easiest if you did all your other work first or in between classes and then saved your writting for later.

To find good writing, a reader can look at any genre that captures your attention. Good writing provides the reader with a source of interesting information that captivates that reader and stimulates further thoughts or questions. Each type of audience may find that they think a different type or style or writing is the best, depending on their interests. When someone reads an article or book and wants to read more on the subject or by the same author, it is good writing. To become a writer of good writing, the author should focus on what truly interests them and then make it intriguing for others to read. Also, as always, punctuation and sentence structure should be checked before finalizing the work. In addition, having someone re-read the work and give his or her opinion can only make the writer a better writer. Organization is also a big part of good writing, as is making sure the point of the piece is said in as direct a way as possible.

One question I have about writing is what is the best form of writing to start at in order to make your writing better overall? A poem? Short story? Article?
Another question I have is how many times I should proofread my piece before finalizing it?

I think that one of the most difficult things for me to accomplish as a writer will be managing my time to write. I usually like to sit down and just write until I finish whatever I am working on, but my class schedule won't really give me enough time to do that. So, I will have to work on the papers bit by bit which will be a little different. Another difficulty will be not making the same point in my writing over and over again. Sometimes, I feel that I reiterate myself too much. One of the easiest things for me to accomplish as a writer is thinking of things to write about. I am always thinking random thoughts, and enjoy writing about something I think about that interests me.
